Yuri Zaidenberg, violinist
was born in Kiev, Ukraine, began playing violin at age seven. After studies at the Moscow Conservatory with Professor Valery Klimov, a disciple of David Oistrakh, he appeared in many concerts and on radio and television throughout the former Soviet Union. He held teaching positions at the Rachmaninoff State Conservatory (University), Turkmenian Institute of the Arts (University), and the Special Music School for Gifted Children. Since coming to Canada in 1991, he is much in demand as a concert soloist, also performing in various chamber music groups and as a member of several orchestras.

Musical Heritage Series concerts, performing Russian classical and contemporary music.

Marianne Gast, pianist
has performed both as a solo artist and as a chamber musician in Hungary, Austria, France, and across Canada. Being born into a musical family she started playing at age four. She studied piano at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest with Margit Gaal, Paul Kadosa and Erzsebet Bacsak who was a former student of Bela Bartok. She was offered a scholarship at the Banff School for Advanced Musical Studies. Some of her teachers include Patricia Parr, Greta Kraus, Gyorgy Sebok, Leon Fleischer and Anton Kuerti. Marianne completed a Bachelor of Music in piano performance at the University of Toronto, and is also an MBA graduate.
She is the founder of the Bartok Conservatory of Music and is an active member of its teaching staff. She is part of the Toronto based four hand organ-piano Duo con Brio. Her other interests include traveling, reading and downhill skiing.
